If you have a reseller account, and you want to work on a live copy of a site, then there are a few keysteps you need to take for it to work. (you could always run it on your HD instead)
So let’s say you have a client with a site called www.netviperinteractive.com and you want to make a new version. So you set it up on your hosting server and since you cannot use that domain name. So you will have to use the ip address of your new site to be able to access it. You made a username of dave.
So lets say your new site ip is 192.168.x.x, to log in to your control panel, you would go 192.168.x.x/cpanel. There you can install wordpress if your hosting company has a one-step install.
So access your site you would go to 192.168.x.x and you will see your new wordpress install. But if you want to edit it, it won’t work. Why? Because wordpress thinks your site is www.netviperinteractive.com and its not. Your site is a new site and you will have to configure wordpress to use the IP address.
So do to this, go back in your cpanel. Select myPHPadmin and select the database WP created from the left. Then select WP_options and change option 1 and option 37 to your ip/~username.
so right now mine says www.netviperinteractive.com. Change it to 192.168.x.x/~dave.
If you forgot your username, that can also be changed int he wp_users tab. If you are changing you password, you MUST select MD5 encription from the left for the password to actually change.
Hope that helps!

Contact Form 7 Clear textarea
Last time we talked about how to clear the input labels on Contact From 7 using a slight hack to the code. This is great for simply using input labels, but what about a text area? As I quickly found it, it doesn’t work. Why is doesn’t work is because the text area is controlled…
